ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Drivers in Albany should be prepared for two road closures this week as construction work is scheduled to take place on Front Street and Pointe N. Boulevard.

Front Street Closure

Front Street will close to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 8 a.m. The closure will affect the area between W. Whitney Avenue and Oglethorpe Boulevard.

The construction is expected to take about two days or until the work is complete.

Pointe N. Boulevard Closure

Pointe N. Boulevard will close to through traffic beginning Thursday, Aug. 27, at 8 a.m. The closure will be between Old Dawson Road and Dawson Road.

The work is also expected to take about two days or until construction is complete.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow extra time for potential traffic delays while the construction work is underway.
