BROOKS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Authorities are searching for a suspect following a vehicle chase that stretched several miles through Brooks County, late Thursday night.
Brooks County Chief Deputy Buddy Johnson confirmed to WALB that deputies were involved in a 6 to 7 mile pursuit that began in Morven and continued toward the Brooks County line.
Officials were eventually able to pull the vehicle over, but three suspects ran from the scene. Deputies were able to capture two of the individuals, while a third suspect remains on the run.
Authorities say the wanted suspect has been identified as Alexander Howard of Valdosta.

Investigators also reported finding drugs and other paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Deputies with the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office and the Morven Police Department continue to patrol the area as the investigation remains ongoing.
