Description

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Valdosta reminded drivers to expect increased traffic during Valdosta State University’s (VSU) move in days.

The city said in a Facebook post that the VSU area will likely experience heavier traffic on Aug. 12 and 13 from about 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. as incoming freshmen move into their new homes.

They said North Oak Street and North Patterson Street are expected to be busy, so the city will have staging areas at the following locations:

  • East Brookwood, next to Drexel Park
  • Williams Street (between East Brookwood and East College Street)
  • East College Street (between Williams Street and North Patterson Street)
