VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Valdosta High School senior Stephen Little Jr. signed to play baseball at Albany State University.
Little, an outfielder, will join the Golden Rams after completing his final season with the Wildcats. He scored a team-high 22 runs on 25 hits, recorded two home runs and seven stolen bases, and batted .321.
Choosing Albany State
Albany State first caught Little’s attention when he attended a prospect camp. He continued to build relationships with the team and coach Hemming.
“Really, his style of baseball, you know. He plays a game at a quick pace. He likes the bunt. I like the bunt. He likes his fast outfield guys, which is me, you know. So, that’s what I really like about his coaching style. He has a pretty upbeat personality about himself. He’s a pretty great guy,” said Little.
Little said he wants to make an immediate impact with the Golden Rams and hopes to finish his freshman season with an SIAC championship ring.
