Description

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Valdosta Customer Service Department has announced that residents will be seeing an 8% rate increase for water, sewer and sanitation services, effective August 1.

They say that this adjustment is “necessary to continue providing quality services, maintain critical infrastructure, and keep pace with rising operational and maintenance costs.”

The updated service rates and fees are as follows:

  1. New Service Activation:
    1. $100 deposit
    2. $27 service fee
  2. Temporary Service Activation:

According to the city, these fees support the administrative costs associated with account setup, service connection and short-term service use.

Customers with questions or concerns about their accounts or bills can contact the Customer Service Department directly at (229) 259-3510.
