WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (WGXA) — After several years of planning and hard work, a new homeless shelter has officially opened its doors in Warner Robins to serve those in need.
The Haven Hope House, located at 79 Green Street, is a full-service homeless shelter offering beds, meals, and support services such as job and housing assistance. According to Mayor Patrick, the facility will be operated by The Assembly in partnership with the City of Warner Robins.
One local resident shared how the shelter — and those leading it — are already making a difference. “This man right here is helping us. He’s turned his life around, and that’s the Lord. He’s been a help for me and for others,” the resident said.
Mayor Patrick praised the community for rallying behind the vision to make Haven Hope House a reality. “We got the community buy-in first, and at a time when I thought others might not support this vision of helping with the homelessness issue, the community came in and showed me that it could happen here in Warner Robins,” Patrick said. “And to see all the people here today only gives more confirmation.”
The ceremony concluded with tours of the new facility, showcasing the accommodations and services now available to residents.
