LAGRANGE, Ga. (WTVM) - Authorities in LaGrange have arrested a woman after she allegedly poured hot grease on her boyfriend.

According to police, officers responded to a domestic dispute call at Stay Lodge, an extended stay hotel on Whitesville Road, just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials reported that Olympia Laster, 43, threw a pot of hot chicken grease on her live-in boyfriend during an argument as he sat in a chair. She is now charged with aggravated assault.

Police said the 46-year-old victim sustained severe burns in multiple areas, including the back of his head, neck, back and shoulder. He was transported to an Atlanta-area hospital for treatment, police said.

Laster was reportedly found nearby and taken into custody.
