VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - An “armed and dangerous” man is still wanted out of Valdosta in connection to a shooting investigation, according to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD).
A 29-year-old woman was found by VPD officers with gunshot wounds at about 6 a.m. on March 2, 2026.

The woman was unresponsive when officers found her, according to a VPD press release. The woman told WALB she is now paralyzed and wants justice.
She said, “He was my boyfriend when he shot me, but I really want him to pay for what he did.”

The wanted man is Brandon Rashad James (33). He is wanted on the following charges, VPD said:
- Aggravated assault (felony)
- Aggravated battery (felony)
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
VPD said James allegedly shot the woman multiple times before leaving the scene.
VPD described James as:
- An African American male
- 33 years old
- 5’5”
- 130 lbs
- Bald with facial hair
VPD said anyone with information should contact 911.
