DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The body of a woman has been discovered near Pondtown Road in Decatur County, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

GBI officials told WALB they were asked to assist the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office earlier today, Feb.12, at around 8:23 a.m., at a location off Pondtown Road.

The body, believed to be that of a female, was found in the area. GBI says, the body will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab tomorrow for an autopsy.
