LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — An accident on Highway 82 in Lee County is causing traffic Friday, July 31, afternoon.

First responders at the scene said two people were taken to the hospital, but no serious injuries were reported.

According to officials in Lee County, the crash occurred at about 3 p.m. near the Raceway on US-82, just outside of Albany.

A black Mitsubishi Outlander reportedly failed to yield when attempting to turn left onto US-82. The SUV was hit by a white Lincoln MKS, officials said.

The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is investigating the crash further, the agency confirmed Friday.
