Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) is investigating after two men were shot in separate overnight incidents. One of the men has died.
First incident
According to APD, officers responded to the first shooting call around 10:45 p.m. near the 600 block of Bobbitt Drive.
A 45-year-old man died from his injuries. He was later identified by police as Courtney Tanorris Jenkins.
APD said Friday morning that the suspect in this case, Cornell Winder, 46, was at the scene when officers arrived. He was taken to the Dougherty County Jail and charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes, according to APD.
The shooting stemmed from a disagreement between Winder and Jenkins, police said.

When WALB arrived on scene, more than a dozen APD officers were investigating, and Dougherty County Coroner, Michael Fowler, was also on scene. A drone was deployed during that investigation, and officers were speaking with neighbors.
Second incident
The second shooting call came in just after midnight while WALB and APD officers were still at the first scene on Bobbitt Drive.
According to APD, another male was shot in the parking lot of Shackleford Shopping Center, near the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Street, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. APD said the man was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment.
