ATLANTA, Ga. — They say good luck comes in threes, but in the case of four Georgia Lottery players, a quad is never odd.
In Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, all but one of the lucky quartet bought winning $50,000 tickets through the Georgia Lottery mobile app in Atlanta, Cumming and Talbotton.
The other winning ticket was purchased at a Georgia Lottery kiosk inside the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s North Terminal.
Nationally, a lottery ticket sold at an Illinois gas station won the $1 billion Powerball jackpot.
Proceeds from Georgia Lottery games support the state’s pre-k program and HOPE scholarships.
