At around 3:51 a.m., the sheriff’s office posted to Facebook that the crash happened in the 4000 block of 5th Street NE.

GCSO said deputies were involved in a high-speed chase involving a black Infiniti headed north on Highway 93, south of Cairo.

Preliminary reports show that the suspect’s vehicle was going over 130 miles per hour. The vehicle intentionally rammed a GCSO patrol unit, ending the chase.
