ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Albany will activate Operation Safe Place on Sunday night to provide a warm place to sleep for those in need.
According to the city of Albany, Operation Safe Place will open ahead of expected overnight lows on Sunday, Jan. 11, from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m., according to the city of Albany.
The Albany Transit Center at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard will remain open Monday, Jan. 12, and Thursday, Jan. 15, through Tuesday, Jan. 20.
The transit center will return to regular operations Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 7 a.m.
