Description
GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A driver from Albany was arrested early this morning after deputies clocked the vehicle traveling 110 mph in a 55 mph zone.
According to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, the stop quickly escalated when deputies discovered the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Authorities stress that speeding and impaired driving are among the leading causes of fatal crashes. Officials warn that reckless choices behind the wheel don’t just endanger the driver but also innocent families sharing the road.
“This arrest is a reminder to slow down, never drink and drive, and make responsible decisions,” deputies said in a statement.
The Grady County Sheriff’s Office commended its deputies for swift action, emphasizing their ongoing commitment to keeping the community safe.
