Macon, Ga. (WGXA) — Some homeowners on Meadowbrook Drive in West Macon are speaking out about one house they feel is making their neighborhood dirty and dangerous.
Bobbie Womack has lived in the neighborhood for 35 years - but says the house across the street from her has been causing problems for nearly a year.
She and her neighbors claim people are squatting in the house, and the poor condition is ruining the neighborhood she's lived in for so long.
"They have the music blasting every night, they have traffic galore coming in and out all times of night," Shirley Tukes, Womack's neighbor, told WGXA Wednesday.
Womack sent WGXA numerous photos and videos of law enforcement responding to the house but said the most concerning incident happened in February - a fire being lit in the backyard.
She says she's called law enforcement several times but says they're "not doing anything."
Tukes adds that she no longer recognizes her own neighborhood.
"They're bringing the value of this community down," she said. "If I could see a family over there, that would make me feel like, 'hey, I'm about to get my community back.'"

Property records from QPublicsay the owner of the house was a man named Harvie Roscoe Yates - who people called "Coe."
According to an obituary, Yates passed away last September; property tax records still list the house in his name, QPublic says.
"I'm trying to get it in my name," Coe's son, Harvie "Joe" Yates said. "Everything's supposed to go to me because I'm the next of kin."
Joe says he's the only one left in his family and has spent time living in both his mom and dad's house on the same street - just about a quarter mile apart.
He added he took over the house after his dad died and allows people to stay there when they need a place to go.
"I've been homeless before too," Yates said. "I know how it is to be homeless, and I just try to help somebody else out."
He admits his front yard is a mess, but it's because he's working on renovations to the house.
"I've only got one garbage can," Yates said. "It doesn't take that long to fill up one garbage can... I can't afford 4 or 500 dollars for a dumpster."

Womack says it's not just about her - she's worried about the whole street.
When asked if she feels Yates should live in the house anymore, she said she "can't say whether or not."
"I'm not in there knowing what's going on per se, personally," Womack said. "But give them citations, give them warnings or something."
WGXA staff reached out to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and Macon-Bibb County Fire Department asking about calls dispatched to the address on Meadowbrook Drive.
We have yet to hear back from either at the time of publication.
