ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Numerous flights are being delayed and canceled at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to FlightAware.com, as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, 57 flights had been delayed within, into or out of the United States at the airport, while six were been canceled.

The interruptions come as airlines try to recover from Tuesday’s severe weather. Nearly all of metro Atlanta experienced a torrential downpour, and Carroll, Coweta and Fayette counties even faced tornado warnings.
