BEN HILL COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Two people have been arrested in Ben Hill County following an investigation, officials say.

On Sept 18 the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division and other personnel conducted a search warrant at a Ben Hill County residence.

The search warrant was in response to a short investigation.

According to officials an amount of marijuana and methamphetamine was seized, along with two pistols, scales, and other packaging materials used in the distribution of narcotics.

Two people were taken into custody; police expect more arrests in relation to this case.

Some of the charges that were taken in this case were:

• Possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• Manufacturing of a controlled substance
• Possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance
• Possession of tools for the commission of a crime and others
