FITZGERALD, Ga. (WALB) — Local officials confirmed a fire broke out at the Burger King in Fitzgerald Friday, May 15, morning.
Jake Hughes, Ben Hill County’s EMA Director, confirmed that the 911 call about a fire came in at about 10:55 a.m.
Hughes said he is unsure of the extent of the fire at this time, as the scene is active. First responders are reportedly at the scene attempting to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. It is also unclear whether anyone was injured in this incident.
The Burger King is located at 278 Ocilla Highway. It is the county’s only Burger King location.
