ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Cancer Ties 5K, fun run, and spring fest is happening April 25 at Chehaw Park and Zoo, supporting this year’s recipients, Kelley Hollowell, Jason Carr, and Amanda Mallow.

Registration for the 5K, fun run, and beer relay opens at 7:30 a.m. at the Kubota Stage. The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m.

Spring fest activities include arts and crafts vendors, a kid zone, and live music from Dirt Road Sports. The beer relay starts at 2 p.m., and the event wraps up at 5 p.m.

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and spend the day, with proceeds helping local families facing cancer.
