Description
DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) - Several Coffee County traffic stops are being investigated by the Douglas Police Department, the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit, and the Drug Interdiction and Criminal Enforcement Unit (D.I.C.E) after illegal drugs and firearms were recovered.
From March 17-22, six people were arrested and booked into the Coffee County Jail.
March 17 arrests
Brandy Sweat was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop at the intersection of North Madison Avenue and East Jackson Street. Sweat’s case was turned over to the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit.
D.I.C.E. agents arrested Leslie Crosby on charges of possession of methamphetamine. The stop resulted in a search of Crosby’s residence. Crosby was initially pulled over on Georgia Highway 32 West.
March 18 arrest
Bennett Swinson was arrested after a brief investigation led to a stolen firearm being recovered along with fentanyl, Molly, and methamphetamine. Swinson was initially pulled over by a Douglas police officer and the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit.
March 20 arrest
Corry Hulett was arrested by the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit after a traffic stop in the area of Highway 441. Hulett was charged with trafficking methamphetamine. During the stop, investigators discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine.
March 21 arrest
Adan Granadas-Camacho was arrested for driving under the influence. Douglas police requested the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit to investigate. Granadas-Camacho was also in possession of cocaine and a firearm during the commission of a crime.
March 22 arrest
Billy Reliford was arrested after Douglas police officers found methamphetamine during a traffic stop in the area of North Madison Avenue near North Street. The Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit is investigating the case.
