The UFC CEO and president spoke about the event while appearing on "CBS Mornings" Tuesday to talk about the promotion's new deal with Paramount.
President Donald Trump first revealed news of the fight last month, saying it would be part of the America250 celebration in 2026.
"We're gonna have a UFC fight, think of this, on the grounds of the White House," Trump told the audience at his July speech in Iowa.

White told "CBS Mornings" that he spoke with Trump Monday and would fly out to Washington D.C. at the end of the month to walk through plans and renderings.
"It's definitely gonna happen," White told the show.
He also confirmed that Ivanka Trump has a role in planning at the president's recommendation.
"Ivanka reached out to me, and her and I started talking about the possibilities, where it would be," White said.
He played coy when asked who could be the headlining fighters, though.
"The landscape will change over the next several months," White said, later adding, "Everybody wants to be on this card."
