LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects wanted in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this month.
According to LCSO, on February 11, 2026, deputies responded to the 500 block of Myddleton Road after receiving a report of an unresponsive male. The victim, identified as Damarcus Thomas, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators identified Madelyn Norris Rogers and Javante Jamal Hunter as suspects in the case. Warrants have been issued for their arrests.

Rogers is described:
- White female
- 5′5
- Weighing around 155 pounds
- Brown/black hair and blue eyes.
- Authorities say she has a butterfly tattoo on her neck, along with tattoos on her left arm and hand.
Hunter is described:
- Black male
- 5’9
- Around 195 pounds.
- Black hair with brown eyes
- Tattoos on his right arm
Officials say both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about this case or the whereabouts of Rogers and Hunter is urged to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at 229-671-2900 or call 911. The investigation remains ongoing.
