THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) — Archbold Medical responded Monday, June 22, after community backlash over a Juneteenth-related Facebook post from a woman who identified herself online as an Archbold employee.

In a statement to WALB, Archbold said it is aware of the individual, but she is not a current employee.

“We are aware of the individual in question. While she has identified herself as an Archbold employee online, we can confirm that she has not been employed by Archbold since 2016.

We take concerns from our community seriously and remain committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all patients, visitors, and staff in the communities we serve.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns and hope that this information assures you that Archbold continues to serve all members of our community with care, compassion, and respect.”

The Facebook posts, attributed to the woman who WALB confirmed is a registered nurse, were shared widely online before being deleted, sparking outrage from members of the community.

It’s unclear when the posts were originally made or how long they remained online before being removed.

We are working to confirm whether the woman is still operating as a licensed registered nurse, along with additional details surrounding the account and the screenshots circulating online.
