ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A former University of Georgia football player is asking for help after he says he was scammed out of his entire life savings.
Tae Crowder played linebacker for the Bulldogs from 2015 to 2019 before spending four years in the NFL.
He says he lost $500,000 by investing in an alleged e-commerce scheme that targeted professional athletes.

Crowder has launched a GoFundMe to help rebuild his life.
“What matters most to me is being able to move forward and regain a sense of security after this loss,” Crowder wrote. “Every donation, no matter the amount, will help me take an important step forward during this difficult time.”
No charges have been filed in the alleged fraud scheme. The suspect was found dead last month in New Jersey.
