GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - On Jan. 12, officials from the Grady County Sheriff’s office stated that their deputies conducted a traffic stop at County Line Road and Highway 112 North for a traffic violation. During the stop, a Grady County K9 conducted a free air search of the vehicle and gave an alert that illegal items might be in the vehicle.

After officials searched the vehicle and the driver, they discovered a quantity of methamphetamines.

Officials say Billy Jo Vanhorn of Camilla was arrested and transported to the Grady County Detention Center.

Sheriff Earl Prince issued the following statement:

“Let me be perfectly clear: drugs like methamphetamine have no place in Grady County. If you bring them into our communities, my deputies and our K9 teams will find them, and you will be arrested. We will continue to be relentless in protecting our citizens and holding offenders accountable. This office will not back down.”
