VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Greenleaf Behavioral Health announced today they received a threat, which prompted the facility to go on lockdown.

The facility was locked down today, April 25. The nature of the threat was not disclosed.

When asked about the incident, Greenleaf provided the following statement:

Earlier today, Greenleaf Behavioral Health received a threat, and we swiftly implemented our security protocols. The well-being of our patients and staff is our top priority, and we appreciate the assistance of law enforcement in helping to ensure their safety.
