ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The first week of December will be wet featuring multiple days of widespread rainfall. Tonight, a few light showers will be likely in the western counties, but rain chances die down by early morning. Morning lows will be near 50 and afternoon highs will be in the low 60s on Monday.

Rain starts out as scattered Monday afternoon, becoming more widespread in the evening and overnight hours. Widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely all night Monday lasting into the morning hours on Tuesday, eventually clearing in the afternoon. Rainfall totals around an inch for the region with scattered locations possibly seeing over 2 inches associated with the tracks of heavy thunderstorms. The severe threat is low, however isolated flooding will be possible.

Afternoon highs for the week hover around 60 degrees, and overnight lows dip near freezing Wednesday and Thursday mornings, otherwise in the 40s and 50s. Another round of widespread rain comes Friday into Saturday, likely bringing an additional inch or two of rain.
