VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Law Enforcement Division is investigating the illegal killing of an alligator at Langdale Park in Valdosta.

According to the agency, Game Wardens were called to the park on June 24, 2026, after a report of an illegally killed alligator. When wardens arrived, they found a dead alligator hanging from a tree limb near the river.
The case remains under investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the DNR Ranger Hotline at 800-241-4113 or dial *DNR for AT&T mobility customers. Callers can remain anonymous, and tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a $100 reward, according to the DNR.
