ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — TODAY: A muggier start heats up faster to near 90 degrees before midday with heat indices around 100. We top off around 95° with a heat index of 105. A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms might cool some off.
MID WEEK: The humidity drops a little, keeping the heat index values sub 105 and away from heat advisories. Morning will cool some too.
LATE WEEK: The heat and humidity build back some allowing heat index numbers to reach back to 105.
WEEKEND: Rain chances will build. The 4th of July bring widely scattered showers and storms by the afternoon. Good rain chances then show Sunday afternoon.
EARLY WEEK: Cooler than average afternoons finally return with scattered showers and storms in the afternoon.
