TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) – Keep Tift Beautiful is calling on community volunteers to join cleanup efforts ahead of its annual Community Pledge Day on October 25.
Board member Kara Self said the nonprofit is focusing on several projects this fall, including building a new shade structure at the Community Garden and organizing citywide cleanups.
One of the first groups to step up was Coca-Cola, which joined volunteers today to help launch the effort.
“Community Pledge Day is about more than one day,” Self said. “It’s about neighbors, schools, and businesses coming together all fall to keep Tift beautiful.”
Organizers are encouraging church groups, student clubs, and civic organizations to sign up for cleanup days throughout September and October.
Those interested in volunteering can email [email protected] or visit the Keep Tift Beautiful Facebook page for more details.
