ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -A partial road collapse has caused the northbound lane of S. Broadway St. between Broad Ave and Oglethorpe Blvd. to be closed, effective immediately.

The College Drive to Oglethorpe Boulevard detour route will be in effect for eastbound and westbound traffic.

This closure will remain in effect until repairs are completed. The approximate time required for the repair is one day.

Officials say motorists should use caution when traveling in the area and consider alternate routes.
