ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -

OVERVIEW: Widespread Fog tonight will lift by late morning Sunday, revealing mostly sunny skies that will take us through much of the work week. Highs soar into the 80s on Monday and stay there, potentially seeing mid 80s by the end of the week. Slim rain chances perk up Thursday-Friday, 30% chance for a couple of showers, along with the potential for a thunderstorm on Friday.

TONIGHT/TOMORROW: Skies have cleared nicely late this afternoon, that won’t change heading into the evening. Fog will develop early in the morning for SGA along with the potential for a a low stratus deck of clouds, however that looks to clear up by late morning with the sun shining Sunday afternoon. Lows tonight will be in the upper 40s, maybe a few low 50s before rebounding into the upper 70s Sunday afternoon.

WORK WEEK: The work week seems pretty tame, not much active weather, but it will be unseasonably warm. Highs reach the 80s Monday afternoon, and they steadily increase through the rest of the week. This week could feature the warmest temperature of the year so far (currently the warmest is 84° from 2-21-2026), along with near record warmth, especially towards the end of the week.

Overnight lows will be very mild, in the 50s and eventually rising into the 60s by late week. Rain chances will be zero until late week. Thursday-Saturday features an isolated (30%) chance for a couple of showers, along with the potential for a stray thunderstorm on Friday. Nothing severe or widespread is expected. Much of SGA will likely not pick up any beneficial rainfall to help with the ongoing drought this week.
