LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is searching for the woman involved in a simple assault at a liquor store in the county.

LCSO posted on Facebook that about 2:30 p.m. Nov. 27, four women entered V’s Liquor on U.S. Highway 19 South and tried to buy alcohol. When the women were unable to provide valid identification, authorities said the store told the women that the sale could not be completed.

Three of the women left the store without incident.

LCSO said the woman wearing a red hat became disorderly, made threats against employees, threw items and committed simple assault against an employee who was trying to de-escalate the situation.

All four women then left the scene in a blue Nissan Maxima, according to authorities.

LCSO is asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman. Anyone with information or who knows one of the people involved is asked to call LCSO at (229) 759-6012.
