SOUTH GEORGIA (WALB) — Anyone who lives in one of the 10 counties served by the South Health District can get free naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, delivered to them.

In a Facebook post, South Health District said the free kits can be requested by people who are 18 or older. The kits will be delivered by mail.

South Health District covers Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Tift and Turner counties.

“Naloxone can quickly reverse an overdose from opioids like fentanyl, heroin, morphine, or prescription pain pills,” the post said.
