TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - WALB has recently learned the identities of the two officers who were injured in an officer-involved shooting on Friday, Dec. 5.

The officers were identified as Michael Gaskins and Jerry Fulford. As of Friday, both were listed as stable.

On Thursday, the Tifton Police Department (TPD) celebrated Fulford’s two years of service with the police department.

Gaskins’s relative, Leslie Gaskins, has made a GoFundMe to help with his recovery. The fundraiser has a goal of $16,000. Click here to donate.

WALB previously reported that the officers were shot while trying to serve a search warrant inside a home near the 800 block of Lee Avenue in Tifton.
