THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) - In South Georgia, volunteers came to lend a helping hand for the 22nd annual Hands On Thomas County Day.
It’s all a part of a large-scale initiative to give back to the community with more than 13 hundred volunteers and 61 projects across the county.
More news out of South Georgia:
From food giveaways, trash pick up and earth care organizers said they want to touch as many people in need as possible.
“There’s always the need but it seems like nowadays, especially with things so expensive that there’s a lot more different types of people that are needing help,” executive director Angela Kiminas said.
“We’re just thankful that we’re able to help in these small ways,” she said.
