ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — An Albany Police (APD) incident report released Wednesday, Feb. 4, revealed that the man who allegedly exposed himself in public and in front of children at the Fun Park in Albany, reentered the property three times after being repeatedly asked to leave by Fun Park employees.

According to the incident report, police spoke with several employees, adults and juveniles, who said they witnessed the indecent activity that allegedly occurred Sunday, Feb. 1.

Witness testimonies reported that Stevie Richardson, 36, was seen inside the Fun Park committing a lewd act on himself around children who were there for a party.

Richardson was taken into custody by APD on a 72-hour hold, according to the incident report, which is dated Feb. 1 at 8:08 p.m. APD said he was taken into custody on the following charges:

  • Sexual battery
  • Public indecency
  • Open container of an alcoholic beverage

In total, the APD report lists seven witnesses—two adult Fun Park managers, three juvenile employees and two adult patrons—who testified that Richardson had committed a lewd act on the property of the Fun Park.

The employees of the Fun Park each said they saw Richardson performing the illicit act in the arcade area, which is where a child’s party was taking place. Both a manager and juvenile employees asked Richardson to leave, according to the APD report. Each time, Richardson reportedly left for a short time and then returned, even jumping the facility’s gate to get in.

The patrons who testified to APD were reportedly parents of a child attending the party on Sunday. They both reported that Richardson grabbed the buttocks of a woman while she was inside the Fun Park. The woman reported to police that she was standing with her daughter when the alleged contact took place. She also said that Richardson appeared to have a knife on his person, according to the incident report.

Employees and patrons who were interviewed by police said they suspected that Richardson also had alcohol on his person. One witness told police Richardson was carrying a Colt 45 beer can.

It is unclear when Richardson left the facility without returning.

Monday, Feb. 2, Fun Park released the following statement about the incident:

“We are a family fun center with a zero tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior. An employee noticed the individual behaving inappropriately and he was immediately asked to leave. Upon resistance we reached out to APD, turned over surveillance and have pressed charges against him. We have been providing safe family fun for over 60 years. We have not and will not tolerate any inappropriate or unsafe behaviors. We will prosecute to the full extent of the law in any situation that endangers our customers or staff.”
