LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has arrested a man for shooting into a vehicle in the 2700 block of Ledo Road, just east of the Walmart.

Investigators responded around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2026, and found multiple spent shell casings. The victim’s vehicle was shot multiple times, but no injuries were reported. Through investigative efforts, Criminal Investigations Division (CID) investigators determined that a 2020 Dodge Charger accelerated toward the victim’s vehicle before shots were fired into it.

According to the sheriff’s office, Anthony Devonte Hoskins was arrested and charged with:

• Aggravated Assault
• Criminal Damage to Property – 2nd Degree
• Terroristic Threats and Acts

Additional suspect still being sought

Investigators have obtained footage of an additional suspect who remains unidentified in this case. The individual is seen wearing a red hoodie in photographs being circulated by the sheriff’s office.

LCSO investigators asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office released a statement about the investigation:

“This sort of violent and criminal behavior will not be tolerated in Lee County. Anyone foolish enough to participate in a criminal shooting incident should expect to be swiftly arrested by our deputies and investigators or endlessly hunted until they are brought to justice.”

The investigation remains active, and officials said additional details may be released as the case develops, LCSO said.

WALB previously reported that another man was arrested for firing shots near the Ledo Walmart on January 29, 2026. We have since learned that these two shooting incidents are unrelated.
