DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) - The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) announced today they arrested a man on aggravated assault charges following a domestic dispute.
CCSO said Travis Yawn, a 26-year-old from Douglas, was arrested on the evening of April 29 after he admitted to trying to hit someone with his vehicle.
According to a press release, Yawn quickly accelerated his vehicle toward another person following a domestic altercation between the two.
Yawn was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, which is a felony in Georgia, CCSO said.
Yawn is now being held in the Coffee County Pre-Trial Detention Center.
