GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A man was arrested in Grady County after the Grady County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) received a 911 call on Wednesday, Feb. 11, about a reckless driver on Georgia Highway 111 South.
The caller reportedly told 911 the driver was speeding, driving erratically and passing vehicles in an unsafe manner. According to the sheriff’s office, the caller said the driver stopped in the middle of the road and ran off.
Deputies searched the area and found the suspect lying in a nearby field at Monrovia Growers.
The sheriff’s office said the suspect gave them a false name. They later identified him as Tommy Johnson.

Johnson had active warrants out of Leon County, Florida and Grady County.
In addition to the active warrants, Johnson is charged with Driving While License Suspended and Giving False Name to Law Enforcement.
Johnson was taken to the Grady County Jail for booking, GCSO said.
