HAZELHURST, Ga. (WALB) - Fire crews are at the scene of a massive fire in Hazlehurst on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The fire is on Hatton Still Road, according to the Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office, the fire department and first responders are at the scene of the fire.

The sheriff’s office said the EPD has been contacted “due to the substance involved in the fire.”

People in the area told WALB that this is a tire fire.

Morgan Lee, who lives in the area, said her home was lost in the fire.

The sheriff’s office is asking the public to avoid the area to allow for emergency crews to work safely and efficiently.
