VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — A free outdoor RecFest hosted by the Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority, in partnership with TRAILS4Valdosta, will take place Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Langdale Park.

The event is open to all ages and will celebrate the reopening of Langdale Park’s walking and biking trails, according to The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority.
The following is a list of hands-on activities set to take place:
- Group trail run and hike
- Kayaking
- Ax throwing
- Fishing
- Interactive educational opportunities
Community partner groups representing local outdoor groups, nonprofits and recreation providers will be in attendance. Organizers said local food trucks will also be available throughout the event.
