ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A portion of North Monroe Street will be closed due to construction of the Combined Sewer Stormwater Separation Project.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 12, North Monroe Street will be closed at Pine Avenue for construction.

A detour route will be signed for Pine Avenue and Washington Street. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution when driving in the area and should prepare to use alternate routes.

The construction project is expected to last approximately three weeks.
