BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WCTV) - A potential student threat at Bainbridge Middle School was resolved after staff members at West Bainbridge Primary School notified authorities, according to a statement from Decatur County Schools.

It’s currently unclear when the threat occurred or what the threat details are. However, two staff members from West Bainbridge Primary School notified the school’s police officer and the principal at Bainbridge Middle about a potential threat at the school, per Decatur County Schools.

The reported threat was said to have the potential to affect Bainbridge Middle School, but it was resolved after additional authorities were contacted.

The BMS administration and Decatur County School Police were “immediately notified,” and the threat was subsequently resolved.

“There is no lingering threat to any school in Decatur County Schools,” the district said.
