SEATAC, Wash. — A prisoner managed to escape from the custody of the Washington Department of Corrections (DOC) officers on the fourth floor of a parking garage at Sea-Tac airport on Tuesday evening.
The prisoner, identified as 20-year-old John Nino, fled from two DOC officers, making a getaway to the light rail station. Nino is 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighs 154 pounds, according to the DOC.
Nino then crossed the pedestrian bridge on the east side of the station and headed towards International Boulevard, according to the airport.
Despite efforts from the Port of Seattle Police Department (POSPD) to assist in the search, Nino was not located.
Nino was last seen wearing a red coat and grey sweatpants, according to the DOC. Officers last saw him crossing the railroad tracks and heading towards Highway 99.
