WASHINGTON (7News) — Drivers in D.C. could face delays Wednesday morning as protesters plan to shut down traffic during rush hour in a demonstration marking 100 days of what they call the “Trump regime.”

The demonstration is set to begin around 7:30 a.m. near the Samuel Gompers Memorial Park at 10th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW.

A coalition of organizers and advocacy groups said the goal is to send a message: "We will no longer allow business as usual to continue."

“For 100 days, Trump, Musk and their billionaire buddies have taken a wrecking ball to our freedoms,” the group said in a statement. “In this moment in which everything is at stake, we choose courage, not compliance.”

A 7News crew said D.C. police are on scene monitoring the protest.
