ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — In a stroke of bad luck, a Roswell brewery was struck by lightning on Saturday — which happens to be Georgia Beer Day.

From the Earth Brewing Company said the strike hit the hood system as storms rolled through the area overnight, shutting down ventilation in the kitchen. The brewery, which also serves food, will be offering a limited menu while repairs continue.

“The good news: The bar will be fully open, so stop by for your Beer Day Glass and a drink,” the company said. “We’ll share updates as soon as everything is fully repaired.”

Georgia Beer Day celebrates local breweries and benefits the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild. Participating breweries are offering limited-edition collector’s pint glasses.
