LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - [Update: 2/9/26 12:37 p.m.] According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), the driver was heading into Albany when the semi truck left the roadway, striking two road signs, then hitting a pole, causing the truck to overturn.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The nature of their injuries has not been reported.

[Previous Coverage] A semi truck overturned on Highway 82 between Fussell and Ledo road just before 3 a.m. Monday morning, causing multiple lane closures, officials said.

Crews are actively working to clear the scene and reopen all lanes of traffic.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), all lanes are set to reopen around 7 a.m.
