Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Six Albany churches came together to praise Jesus under one roof for Holy Week services. The annual event brings together Hines CME Church, Friendship Baptist Church, Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, Bethel AME Church, First Presbyterian Church and First Methodist Church.
“We love each other so much, and to take time to be together, to take time to build new relationships, to make sure that our churches are one in mission instead of separate across the downtown area is beautiful. We have a lot of fun, it takes a lot of hands to put this together, but it is so worth it.”
This year, the congregations came together each day, beginning on March 30 and ending on Friday, April 3. A pastor from one of the churches delivered a half-hour sermon, followed by a free lunch each day. First Methodist Church hosted the event.
